    I have heard from people who have worked there that Socialism has eaten away at the insides of the European economy so much that they do not care if an immigrant helps them make more money. Unlike the capitalist US that accepts immigrants (at least to some extent) that bring economic benefit, the EU is one big xenophobic amalgamation of countries.
    Well - though white racists may oppose - anything related to economy and development does go through.

    I personally think that if this proposal goes through - EU will be the next melting pot.

    Racism is there everywhere, we find it in US also, even in India, you find caste system and inter state racism. With rising opportunities, such things may not really be visible especially in places where there are free zones.

    Does anyone has more info on this?

    Hi Chandu,

    Not all GC holders are against the aspiring GC seekers. In fact, I am promoting IV actively to many older GC holders and exposing how bad the system is now when compared to their days. [Say from 10 years ago]. I am trying my best to help many, who are in line with what ever little knowledge I gained during this process. I will be happier one and only if this broken system is fixed and the process is made transparent. I only wish that this will happen during my life time :p


    PS: I did not had IV during the time when I started my GC process :mad:

My friend got a green card as recently as a month back, he struggled for a long time before he got one, I asked him if he wants to come for the rally and he told me "MRRRRRRRR I GOT MY GREEN CARD, YOU ARE ASKING THE WRONG PERSON FOR THE RALLY" and the same person told me "SOMETHING MUST HAPPEN TO THESE ROTTEN CONSULTING COMPANIES, THEY ARE RUINING THE SYSTEM" he got his GC from a small consulting company and after getting his GC he says these companies must not exist - he wants to shut thee door behind him

    If you are resubmmitting or planning to resubmit, one need medical originals again, so call your doctor and ask him to create new sealed envelopes with original this ahead of time coz this is only thing not in your control when filing a second 485. I am sure you might have thought about this, but just in case if you havent, then remember you will need I-693 original with your and doctor's signature with other stuff in sealed envelopes again.

    this 19% cannot be issued in July either- not more than 10% a mnth

    there is no question they ignored this
    i'm curious to know what reason they will use to justify it.

    Yes you can use the old priority date. However, this is only possible if you have a copy of the old approved LC and 140.....

    Clarification PD is based on the date of filing of the Labor and NOT 140.....

    Assuming you are EB2 India with PD Dec 2006

    Best case your case will be current : 4 months
    Worst Case your case will be current : 12 months, but not more than that.

    Let us see the approvals trend till october. I am guessing the PD will move back to MID 2005 or 2004 by October for EB-2 India.

    I don't agree. It will stay same or forward in small increments with new fiscal yr numbers available. I am saying so because EB2 I stayed for such long at 04/07 and everyone knows fewer LCs were filed/approved between 04 and 05.

    Here is the text under the attachment section

    Dear friends,

    I am appalled and disgusted by the mudslinging going on between ROW and India-born applicants. If any of you remember your history lessons from high school, the English used this exact policy of "Divide and Rule" to keep control over their colonies.

    For example, in India, they would go into Moslem dominated cities, discriminate against them for jobs, and put Hindus in more prestigious positions, and vice-versa. They did this after the first war for independence in 1857 where Hindus, Moslems, rich and poor fought to overthrow the British occupation.

    The very same policy is used by the U.S. government to control their population:

    1) Per country quotas in EB immigration cause infighting

    2) Infighting causes immigrant activists like IV to lose focus and weaken the agenda

    3) Infighting results in racism between ROW, India, and China, which causes Americans to watch the circus, shake their heads and lobby for more immigration control

    4) Poor regulation in the H1B program cause Americans to lose their jobs and blame the Indians and Chinese

    ...and the elite sit back, sip their martinis, and watch the fun.

    So you have two choices before you:
    1) Keep fighting, achieve none of the 3 main IV objectives, and continue your bonded slavery or
    2) Unite as one to achieve all 3 objectives, and throw off your shackles

    I am a strong advocate of Unity and I appreciate your post. Infighting exists everywhere, it is not created but exists in us and our thought process.     I was working with employer -A till 2006 and got I140 approved (June 2003 priority date) in EB3. In November 2006 I joined employer B as it is good for my carrier. I talk to employer A (body shopper) and he is ready to support for my green card as I worked for him for six long years and still he did not cancel my old H1B. My main aim here is to apply I485 as soon as I can.

    1. I have two options here my old employer (A) is body-shopper. So he will agree for both future or current employment. I have very good permanent job and bright future prospects with new employer (B). In this case what you guys advice me? Apply I485 as future employment or quit present job and join old employer (A) and apply I485 as current employment?

    2. If I do not join old employer (with whom I have I140 approved) now, in this case what are my options for I485 applying? (Only future employment I485/ I can file current employment I485 and not drawing any salary from old employer )

    3. Will I485 as future employment has any problems?

    4. Can I use AC21 after 180 days on my I485 future employment application?

    5. My new employer (B) already applied PERM LC for my GC in EB2 three months back and did not here anything from Atlanta DOL till now. What you guys advice me? Is it worthful to wait for this new EB2 LC or apply I485 as future employment with approved I140-EB3 with priority date June 2003.

    I am in really dilemma and unable to decide. Appreciate your advice in this matter. Thanks in advance to all your replies and wish you best of luck.

    Nixtor - In the poll question you talk about providing your receipt number but I don't see any mentions about that in the document. Do you expect us to include our receipt # with this request. Please clarify.

    If we put the word H1B in the Visa Re-capturing bill, the bill would be doomed. As few have rightly pointed out, it would be taken out of context probably advertised and interpreted as increasing H1B visas.

    If we put the words, eliminating per country limits, it would doomed. The CNN headlines would scream "Indians and Chinese are coming".

    If we put any changes to the current requirements of I-485 filing, it would be interpreted as diluting the existing laws to import more cheap foreign workers faster. The anti-immigration forces would be all over it like a monkey on a cupcake.

    If we keep it simple : Re-capturing unused visa numbers for Employment Based Categories for Foreign Born Professionals already employed in the US legally and in the queue for Permanent Residency, we have a high chance of success.

    IV team please start the fund raising for re-capturing visa numbers. Thanks.

    Before starting new fund you consider to contribute for the current drive.

    US Code, Title 8 � 1304. Forms for registration and fingerprinting

    (e) Personal possession of registration or receipt card; penalties
    Every alien, eighteen years of age and over, shall at all times carry with him and have in his personal possession any certificate of alien registration or alien registration receipt card issued to him pursuant to subsection (d) of this section. Any alien who fails to comply with the provisions of this subsection shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction for each offense be fined not to exceed $100 or be imprisoned not more than thirty days, or both.

    So at least make a copy of your I-94/approval notice/GC and keep it in your wallet.
